Williams leaves province for heart surgery

ST. JOHN's, N.L. - (UPDATED: FEB 2, 1300hrs) Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams left St. John's on Monday, February 1, for heart surgery at an undisclosed location in the United States.  Acting Premier Kathy Dunderdale briefed reporters on Tuesday and said that the procedure required was not offered to him locally by his doctors but she would not get into details of the premiers condition.
